Shoot 1 - 20/01/2020
The first shoot of filming didn't go as planned. The plan stated that this shoot would use the Sfx, by Carly, as these require more prep time. Carly brought in the Sfx on the day of the shot and was ready to apply the Sfx, however the time schedule was very tight and didn't prepare for me having to miss the fist half of the lesson. Therefore there was not enough time to prepare for the shoot. We then had to compromise and shoot more low maintenance shots that had little preparation time. From the first day of filming we realised that we should have had a section in our contingency plan that detailed what to do if we were unable to shoot the desired scenes.
Shoot 2 - 22/01/2020
On the second day of filming, I was not involved due to having an appointment however, from the footage I've seen, they seemed to be collecting shots portraying the dangerous substances. The footage I've seen also seems to be good and usable which is brilliant. However one problem is that is that the use of free arm instead of tripods seems very amateur but we are looking to produce a as professional as we can film opening. What I'd like us to do is to use a tripod or use objects to set the camera.
Shoot 3 - 23/01/2020
Prior to our third day of filming, Carly spent an hour or so doing sfx on my arm neck and face. On this day I feel as if filming was more effective and smooth in the sense that we knew what we're doing and completed more. However we had a problem with filming a shot of my face in an aerial shot as even with a tripod it would still come across as shaky. So will still recorded these shots but collected some more to compromise in case we feel as if the aerial shots aren't up to scratch.
Shoot 4 - 28/01/2020
On the fourth day of filming, we aimed to film a few shots of Laila injecting Matty with a syringe. However an issue that we had was that the syringe was not stable and kept falling out. So to compromise, we used an angle to make it look more realistic and to also hide the unsuitability of the syringe. So in the future, we potentially should always have a back up prop just in case the main one has an issue. However I feel as if the shots we took on the day were decent and actually seemed realistic in the sense that in looks like we have actually injected Matty with the syringe however we should be more organised in terms of having back up props.
Shoot 5 - 30/01/2020
On the fifth day of filming, people were scheduled to film the day before however they forgot to do so. So we then filmed at lunch time the day after. So instantly we need to improve our communication. So during this shoot we decided to get some shots of Matty sweating. We worked well today despite getting few shots however we may well re shoot the shots of Matty sweating so that we have ore shots quality shots to choose from We also need to be more on top of getting together for shooting days and taking ore responsibility to ensure that everyone who is filming is there.
Shoot 6 - 31/01/2020
On the sixth day of filming, we got a lot of shots as we had an hour and I feel as if the four of us to took part were extremely effective. We got shots of Laila walking away from one lab, entering the same lab, entering a different lab, writing on a whiteboard, then exiting that lab and looking shocked after entering the first lab. The only problem with this shoot is that we did not get a shot of Laila exiting the first lab where we have filmed everything else so we may return to get that shot. Other than that, I strongly feel as if this was our most effective filming day despite only being four of us so we still need to improve on people knowing when they're filming
Shoot 7 - 04/02/2020
Shoot 8 - 11/02/2020
